Gold Canyon Auto Fresheners - bonus uses #5

Gold Canyon Auto Fresheners are great in the car, but they can be used in other ways as well!

Bonus Use #5: This one is my favorite bonus use! If you have a musty or smelly vacuum or carpet, or if you just want an extra burst of your favorite Gold Canyon fragrance, cut up a Gold Canyon auto freshener & put it inside your vacuum cleaner bag or in the canister of your bagless vacuum. The pieces don't have to be tiny, just small enough to fit inside. When you turn the vacuum on, the air circulating inside the bag will activate the fragrance of the auto freshener.

Gold Canyon Auto Freshener -- bonus uses #1

Gold Canyon Auto Fresheners are great in the car, but they can be used in other ways as well!

Bonus Use #1: Hang one in your closet! It will keep your closet smelling great! But just make sure to keep it in a place where it won't come in contact with clothing. Remember that the oils from an auto freshener can cause stains.

Auto Fresheners have Warnings?

We live in a day and age where everything has a warning label! I think that, because of that, we don’t always take the time to read them – often they are so common sense that we don’t feel we really need them. Any auto fresheners that you purchase will most likely have a warning that advises you to allow the auto freshener to “hang freely”. If you allow contact with upholstery, plastic, painted or varnished surfaces, an auto freshener has the potential to stain the area as the fragrance oils are absorbed through that contact.

Gold Canyon Auto Fresheners – how long do they last?

A Gold Canyon auto freshener has a use time of 1 to 4 weeks once you remove the plastic packaging. Some customers have wondered why the time varies so much – there’s a big difference between 1 & 4 weeks!

The answer? Auto Fresheners are activated by heat. Typically, an auto freshener will last longer in cooler months & be stronger & get used up more quickly in warmer months because the heat is bringing out the fragrance at a faster rate.

You should also follow the package instructions for cutting the plastic packaging off in layers in order to get the longest use out of your auto freshener. And don't be surprised if you have a Gold Canyon auto freshener that lasts longer than the 4 weeks -- it does happen!

Gold Canyon Auto Fresheners - Getting the Best Use

To get the best use out of your Auto Fresheners, follow the directions on the back of the package. This four step process will expose only part of the auto freshener at a time so you can "refresh" as needed.

1. Cut a small "u" or "v" shaped opening in the top of the plastic packaging and pull the string out the top.
2. Cut bottom seam of the plastic packaging off to create an opening.
3. Turn auto freshener to back side. Holding the seam up with one hand, cut three 1 inch slits on the seam, cutting slightly into the bag.
4. Pull the bottom strip in an even line as it is peeled around the freshener & its ready to hang in your car! As more fragrance is needed, expose more of the auto freshener by pulling another strip of plastic off the auto freshener.
